District events offer refreshing time to interact


The Corpus Christi District Clergy Family Annual Picnic and Pros meeting is scheduled
for Aug. 21 at 6 p.m. at Asbury UMC, Corpus Christi.
The meal is provided and paid for by the Corpus Christi District Office.
Program Director Cheryl Worley is urging clergy members to welcome new pastors and their families to the district.
At the gathering, she said, leaders are to hand out charge conference packets and new district directories.
The Corpus Christi District is to offer its annual Fall Retreat, “A Day at the Sea,”
Sept. 28-29 at Mustang Island Conference Center.
The retreat is open to both lay-people and clergy members. Registration fee is $75.
The retreat is to feature the Rev. Kelly Nemeck. It is sponsored by the Corpus Christi Leadership Development Team.
